Hide and seek.

This week in learning from home we had to read a poem. The poem was called hide and seek.It was about a child hiding in a game of hide and seek. Then once we had finished reading the poem we had to make our own with an experience we had either playing hide and seek or spotlight. We also had to show not tell. Which means explain what's happening by not mentioning the title or say what's happening explicitly but by giving great description and hints.
I chose hide and seek. Can you figure out what i'm doing?

  1. HI Billie,
What a great poem you have written. Are you the seeker?

I like the way you have structured your poem into short phrases as it creates suspenses.

My favourite lines are trying all the good places and remembering all their faces. It is definitely like that when you are seeking for people. You have to rack your brain to think of where else they could be.

Next time you could include more descriptive detail by adding more adverbs to describe your verbs. For example giggling secretively or stepping furtively.

Keep up the great work. Mrs P
